Aker Exploration takes the driling rig Aker Barents on contract

Aker Exploration on July 26 took the semi submersible drilling rig Aker Barents on contract. Aker Exploration is now mobilizing crew and equipment on board, before the rig is moving to the field.


The first well to be drilled is on PL321. The oil
company Det norske is the operator for this license,
which is located about 83 km north west of
Kristiansund. Aker Exploration`s stake in the license
is 35 per cent. The well and the license are

Directorate.
 


Aker Exploration ASA is a stock market listed
exploration company that focuses on the Norwegian
continental shelf. Aker ASA is the company´s main
shareholder, with an ownership stake of 76.1 per
cent. The drilling rig Aker Barents is owned by
Aker´s wholly-owned subsidiary Aker Drilling.
